This location was a little further walk up Sivatha Rd. it is away from the Old Market and Pub Street scene. I was very surprised by the decor. It is very modern with a lot of vegetation and a water feature at the entrance. There are canvas canopies stretches over the seating area and there is a location that has beds in place of tables so you can lay down while eating your meal. Looked uncomfortable to me. I sat a a table. The restaurant is very dark as you can see from the photos. I was the only one in the restaurant at the time. I was surprised because it was a bit later around 8:30pm.

The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. I ordered a dumpling set to start which was very good. I had wanted tot try their version of Lok Lak to compare to a meal I had the night before. It was also very good but the lime and pepper sauce that was served with the Lok Lak was more of a thick paste and did not last the meal.
This is a great atmosphere for a romantic dinner. Not sure I would walk all the way up to this location with good options closer to where I stay.

Khmer Touch is a newer restaurant near Pub Street. It is more of an upscale location as compared to other dining options in the immediate area. I stopped in for dinner and I’m glad I did. The wait staff were very accommodating with my questions about the menu. If they didn’t know the answer, they went to the back and asked the chef. The executive chef is Somontha Oeng. She did an amazing job creating a great menu and the dish I had was delicious.

For a started the waiter brought out a sample of a sweet corn dish which I did not order (no charge) but was excellent. For the main dish I ordered the Lok Lak, which is a traditional Khmer dish. I have had this often as nearly every restaurant in Siem Reap offers Lok Lak or Khmer Curry as a menu staple. Chef Oeng has created the perfect sauce to accompany the Lok Lak. The sauce is a lime and crushed pepper juice. The favors were amazing. The Lok Lak already has a dark flavorful gravy and the lime pepper sauce come as a side. I didn’t want to drown the flavor of the Lok Lak so I found the best way to enjoy this is to pour the lime pepper sauce on the rice. This combination kept the flavor separated and can be enjoyed together or on their own.

I enjoyed this so much I returned the next day for lunch! I highly recommend stopping in to Khmer Touch.
Favorite Dish: Wok Fried Beef with Crush Pepper, Spring Onion and Lime Pepper Sauce (Lok Lak).

Stopped in for lunch one day. The entrance is very nice as you walk through a lot of vegetation to an open covered seating area. The Waite staff was very friendly and I was seated right a way. I ordered the Chicken Satay and the Khmer Curry with chicken. Both were very good. It was nice to relax out of the sun but it is still very hot. There are some fans but they didn’t help much. But this is an issue with many restaurants in Siem Reap when you eat lunch. I would like to try this restaurant in the evening.

I was disappointed by this place. I ordered the chocolate chip pancake. Granted the menu does not use the plural but you really do just get 1 pancake and it did not come with syrup as stated on the menu. The pancake is small and they give very little syrup. It is inexpensive but not really for Siem Reap and only one pancake.  I would not repeat!

This is place has the majority of it’s seating on a second floor with only a few table on the first floor. The restaurant is located in the West Alley so no cars pass by. This is nice if you are sitting at the first floor. I started with an order of summer rolls. They were very good but there were an awful lot of flies in the alley. My main dish was chicken curry. It took some time to come out. I was looking around and could not find where the kitchen was. Finally I noticed they were cooking the food at a side alley between two buildings. It did not look very sanitary. So it was more like a street food place that had seating. The curry dish was just average.  I would not repeat.
