The Hive Spa is located in “The Hive” which is like a co-op building with shared space. The Hive Spa has a few small rooms on the second floor. This is a location that happens to pop up when you do a search fro best massage in Bangkok. Don’t Believe It! These articles are hit or miss. The Hive is relatively new. For there location and set up, the $500 Baht for a foot massage is extremely high. The room was very warm as well. Not very inviting considering it was about 95 degrees and 100% humidity. You will not find comfort here.
On a positive note, the actually foot massage was good. The person I had really knows what she is doing. The Hive is not worht any special trip when you can get the same foot massage for half the price at many other places of similar quality.

Ban Khun Mae is a Thai restaurant located behind Siam Square One Mall when exiting the Siam BTS station. It wasn’t that easy to find using google gps. Fortunately, plenty of people speak English around that area and I just asked a security guard at the mall.
Both the interior and exterior of the restaurant have a rustic, old world feel. They have a large menu. I decided on Penang Curry with Chicken. Pretty basic with good flavor. A nice lunch option when shopping in the Siam Mall area.

Chan and Yupa is a quaint little place set back off the road down a short driveway along Sukhumvit 10 Alley. The restaurant is surrounded by beautiful grounds and garden. The interior is nicely decorated and has plenty of windows to view the garden and let sunlight into the room. I stopped in twice during my 2017 trip, each time for breakfast. I ordered the Mexican omelet which has ham, chorizo, cheese, mushrooms, peppers and spinach. It is very good, that is why I went back twice.
However, I was disappointed in the tea selection. When I see “tea room” I expect a higher level of tea offerings. Unfortunately, Chan and Yupa only have assorted tea bags from several different company’s. No loose tea and the tea selected almost totally tea blends. I found a few that were good but not worth returning just for tea.
Hours: Closed Monday’s, Tuesday through Sunday, 7:30am to 6:00pm.
