Phachara Suites

I have stayed here during all my trips to Bangkok now. I find it is always clean with friendly staff and convenient to Nana BTS terminal. I have stayed in at least 6 different style rooms they have and each was an above average size room. There is added security in that you have to touch your room card in the elevator to access your floor. There is free wifi for up to two devices. Each day the room is cleaned and they provide two free bottles of water.

It is less than a 5 minute walk to the Nana BTS station which is very convenient. It is also located on a quite side street so there is not a lot of foot traffic from the night scene and traffic.  Another very convenient service they provide is watching your bags if you have a late flight out of Bangkok.  They also allow you to shower at their pool so you are nice and fresh for your departure.

This will continue to be my go to location when visiting Bangkok.

Majestic Suites

This was moderately prices and close to the Nana Sky Train station. I should have left as soon as I got to the room. There was water damage on the ceiling and room had a strong mildew odor. I complained to the front desk and was told they would fix the problem. Their answer was a dehumidifier. However this only worked when you had the key in the light switch to activate the power.

The smell was so horrible I requested another room the next morning. They had no problem giving me another room. So I packed up went to the other room to find out it was a smoking room and had that strong odor.  Luckily I found another hotel nearby and checked out immediately. I would not use this location again.

Tawana Bangkok

The Tawana was the best hotel I stayed at in Bangkok. I really enjoyed this place and would definitely stay again. The lobby is beautifully door and has a very pleasant door man. You have to walk up a set of wide stairs to the front desk but the door man takes you bags immediately and tags them with the Bell Hop. Check in was smooth. I had made this reservation only the day before because of a sudden change in my plans. During the check in I was given a non alcoholic cocktail which was tasty and a nice touch. As soon as I have my key staff are right there to take my bags up.

The room is spacious with high ceilings and a king sized bed. The bathroom was also nice and had very hot water. This stay was great. They have free wifi for multiple devices and 2 complementary bottles of water. Breakfast is included for a 50% discount.
The Tawana is conveniently located a few blocks from Patpong Night Market and the Sala Daeng Sky Train station (Silom). I stayed for two nights and wished it was longer. I was leaving for the airport after my stay and they called a metered taxi for me that was fair and reliable.

Will definitely stay here again!

Dynasty Grande Hotel

This hotel in conveniently located near the Nana BTS station on Sukhumvit Rd. I stayed 3 nights and found it to be very clean and the walk to the sky train was about 5 or 10 minutes. The room was spacious. I had a king size bed that was nice and firm which I prefer. The room was equipped with a mini refrigerator, and safe. The air conditioner worked very well which is important as Bangkok gets very hot and sticky.

The hotel staff were very friendly and were good with directions to the sky train but when I asked if they could recommend a good place for breakfast one morning, they had no idea. This may be because there is a restaurant attached to the hotel, which I didn’t know when I asked. Strangely they did not direct me to the hotel restaurant. They may have thought I knew. It was not a big deal.

I would definitely staff here again.
