Wat Baan Ping

 

This is a small temple but has some wonderful buildings and ornate entrances. The entrance of the Ubosot (ordination hall) is guarded by two Naga (dragons). The Wihan (teaching hall is guarded by two mythical creatures I haven’t seen before at other temples in Chiang Mai. A very quiet temple and the art work was fascinating. Some of the building here are new as there was a fire not too long ago. Reconstruction was completed in 2010.

Directions: Near the corner of Rachawiti rd and across from Wat Umong.
