Buddy Beer Bar

 

I wanted to check out Khao San Rd by day because I’ve heard it gets pretty crazy at night and that is not for me. By day it’s relatively quiet. I came across Buddy Beer and it was well shaded so I stopped in for lunch to take a break from the heat. There is an indoor bar and plenty of outdoor seating. I sat outside and ordered. I started with the Chicken Satay. This was a big portion. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and juicy and not dry at all. It is accompanied by a peanut dipping sauce which made it a complete package.

For the main course I had the green curried chicken rice. Again prepared perfectly and the portion was just right. I eat this dish a lot back home and it was exactly as the place I eat at home, which is apparently very authentic. It’s a shame I am not staying closer. It’s a bit difficult to get to, especially at night unless you take a taxi or tuk tuk. For lunch it’s a ltitle easier taking the Chao Phraya river boat.
Good news they are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
