Kuet Chang is a tambon along the Mae Taeng River. It is a good place to stop for lunch when visiting one of the tea plantations in the area or one of the famous Elephant sanctuaries in this part of Chiang Mai Province. These are rural villages with little to no English speaking residence or signage. Fortunately I had a Thai guide and I was able to order some food. She recommended a riverside outdoor cafe. These types of eateries are popular along the Mae Taeng River. The river is peaceful and you can enjoy watching the rafters negotiate the low grade rapids as you enjoy a nice Thai lunch.
The village we stopped at is along route 3052 a few miles away from the Elephant Nature Park.
